IMS 415 - Advanced UX Research
Spring 2024
In my Advanced User Experience Research course, I collaborated with a team (KiwiX Inc.) to enhance Fifth Third Bank’s mobile app user experience. Our project focused on developing app flows and resources that empower users to make better financial decisions, build financial literacy, and reduce stress around money management.
Guided by the Jobs to Be Done framework, we conducted in-depth interviews to uncover user needs around financial stress management, goal setting, and education. Our insights shaped the development of user personas, journey maps, and wireframes that showcased an ideal user experience for financial support and guidance within the app.
We were honored to present these findings and our recommendations at Fifth Third’s Cincinnati headquarters, where we received valuable feedback that highlighted the impact of our solutions on customer engagement and financial wellness. This experience reinforced the importance of user-centered, data-driven design in finance—skills I’m eager to apply in future UX roles.
